Can we meet beforehand?
If time and distance allow, I prefer to meet couples before the big day
itself. That way, you can tell me exactly what you want and you can give
me a clear picture of what the day will be like. I can then plan the shots
in detail. It's helpful if you can give me a running order for the day,
an order of service for example. If possible, I'll also visit the wedding
venue or venues prior to the event and/or attend a rehearsal.
Isn't
having a tv crew at a wedding intrusive?
On a single camera shoot, I work on my own, to minimise disruption. The
camera might be broadcast standard, but thanks to new technologies, it's
not too much bigger than a domestic camcorder. Thanks to radio microphones
and zoom lenses, Ill remain at a discreet distance during the ceremony.
I won't take over and turn your wedding into a tv production. I'll record
your wedding day as it happens.
How
many copies of our wedding film do you supply?
3 DVDs of your wedding video are supplied as standard, so
that bride and groom and both sets of parents are kept happy! You can
order more copies within 2 years of your wedding at a small extra cost.
All our wedding DVDs are packaged in a personalised DVD presentation case.
What
sorts of weddings do you cover?
Any wedding or civil partnership, of any religion or none. 4 Life Films
also make Asian wedding videos - for more information, please visit
4
Life Asian Wedding Videos. I've spent 5 years working in the Religion
and Ethics Department of the BBC so am used to filming in churches, synagogues,
Buddhist and Hindu temples, mosques and Sikh gurdwaras.
Do
you sit down and eat with the guests?
No. Whilst some wedding videographers do insist that food is provided,
we don't want to add to your expense! So there's no need to add to the
cost of your catering by providing food for the crew!
How
do we go about booking 4 Life Films for our wedding video?
If you'd like 4 Life Films to produce your wedding DVD, drop me
an email to find out about availability for your wedding day. Please note
that a £200 non-refundable booking fee is required at the time of
booking with the balance due one calendar month prior to the event.
When
will my wedding DVD be ready?
Your fully edited wedding film will usually be ready within 6 weeks
of your wedding day. At quieter times of the year, this may well be shorter.
If you need it faster for a specific reason, let us know.
Will
you include everything in my wedding video?
No. Your wedding and reception will probably last several hours and we
will capture most of this. This will be edited down to between 45 and
90 minutes of footage, depending on the package chosen. We'll edit the
film so that it includes the most important, most memorable and most entertaining
bits, so that you and your friends and family will enjoy watching it rather
than fast-forwarding through the dull parts.
Can
I be involved in the editing process?
Editing takes many hours so it just wouldn't be practical. But by listening
to what you want in advance of your wedding, what you like, what you don't
like, we can ensure that the finished product meets your requirements.
If you want something special, let us know and try our best to accommodate
you.
